80 Dead in Train Accident-Espana

At least 80 people were killed and about 90 people are injured after a train derailed at the entrance to the station of Santiago de Compostela, in line linking Madrid and Ferrol, Galicia, northwest Spanish.

Spanish media highlighted the bodies and state security forces are organizing to assist the victims, and so far unclear what caused the accident.

The accident comes on the eve of the Day of St. James, city festivals and Galicia, which is expecting thousands of visitors from home and abroad.

Many train cars are overturned, some on fire, and security forces are trying to rescue those still get caught in them.

A resident of the area told Radio Gallega heard the accident as "a great explosion and saw a wagon travel several meters, which was destroyed."
