Dozens dead in clash with Libyan militiamen in Tripoli

At least 32 people were killed and almost 400 wounded in gun battles between Libyan militiamen and armed residents in Tripoli on Friday in the worst street fighting for months to test the shaky central government.

Prime Minister Ali Zeidan is struggling to control rival militias, Islamist militants and other former fighters who refuse to surrender their arms two years after helping to overthrow Muammar Gaddafi in a NATO-backed revolt.

After Friday's violence, Zeidan demanded that all militias "without exception" leave Tripoli, but the clashes underscored how little his fledging military can do to curb ex-rebels, who have also shut down Libya's oil exports for months.

Friday's bloodshed, the worst in Tripoli for many months, began when militiamen from the city of Misrata fired at about 500 protesters demanding their eviction from the capital after they had fought rivals for control of city districts.

A girl cuts her friend with a razor blade after she learnt her friend(neighbor) whom she introduced to her sugar daddy went behind her back to have sex with her sugar daddy this was disclosed by an eye witness at the scene said this occurred yesterday 17th,September at Inikpi street, High level ,Makurdi , Benue State at about 11 am .I did not upload it immediately due to the fact that i wanted to get the whole story first.

According to the eye witness, as the girl went to confront her friend and the whole issue blew out of hand. That led to the girl using a razor blade on her friend and like that was not bad enough some witness at the scene took laws into their hands by stripping the girl who cut her friend naked.

According to another source, it claimed it was because the girl bleeding from the cut insulted the other girls mother calling her an ashawo (prostitute). This led to this violent fiery argument and eventually assault on both feuding parties. Obviously, something must have led to the one cursing the other.

The whole incidence was controversial and inhumane but some things were clear about the story ,two girls got into a heated argument, one was deeply cut by the other girl using a razor blade and passerby and witnesses took laws into their own hands by stripping the other girl naked and beating her

Two Innocent Man Accused for Cannibalisme Beaten and Burned-Nigeria

There was drama yesterday when an angry mob stripped unclad two men, Alaba Abiodun and Samuel, who were allegedly eating human flesh, but they were lucky as the timely arrival of policemen who saved them from being set ablaze.

This is how PM news reported the incident:

Earlier, a passer-by along the rail line in Ikeja saw three men in tattered dresses. One of them was making a call and one eating a meat suspected to be human flesh.

The passer-by raised an alarm that attracted the mob which instantly pounced on the two suspect human part eaters. But the one making the phone call managed to escape.

Their problem was compounded when the mob moved to their hideout behind the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat fence and found a cutlass, knife, charms and meat with fat which the mob suspected to be human flesh.

When a detachment of policemen from Area ‘F’ arrived the scene, Abiodun told them, that he was a carpenter but had no money to set up a workshop.

Abiodun claimed to be from Akiniku in Moloney area of Ilaro, Yewa, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria. He added that he made the hideout his residence as he could not afford to rent a room for himself.

He explained that the meat discovered in their hideout was a cow fat which they eat and not human parts.

After intensive questioning, the policemen were convinced that the suspects were mistaken for human parts eaters and sellers by the mob. They were later released.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS on the incident, a police officer who preferred anonymity advised the public to investigate suspected criminals before taking any action.

But for the timely intervention of the policemen, the officer noted, the suspects would have been set ablaze.

4 Innocent Student Beaten Naked Humiliated,Lynched and Burned Alive-Nigeria

Four students of the University of Port Harcourt were killed in the most barbaric manner. It happened in the Rivers State’s Omuokiri village, Aluu, October 5, 2012. That incident shook the nation. The boys werez Tamuno-Itekenasam Elkanah, Ugonna Kelechi Obuzor, Lloyd Toku Mike and Chiadika Lordson Biringa. They were brutally murdered by a cheering crowd in a broad daylight. The manner of their death attracted public indignation and outright condemnation, both within and outside the country.

The students were said to have gone to the village to recover a debt, owed one of them. Another version of the story said the boys had gone to the village with dark intentions. The ‘debtor’, according to the first account, was said to have raised the alarm, which attracted the attention of members of a vigilance group. Members of the vigilance group allegedly arrested them, took them to the palace of the traditional ruler, Alhaji Hassan Welema, before they were paraded in the street n*ked. They were to be crudely tortured and then gruesomely murdered. Ironically, some policemen were allegedly part of the cheering number.

The four students, first sons of their respective parents, were said to be inseparable and brought together by fate. Two of them, Lloyd and Ugonna were already putting finishing touches to their music album, titled, “Heart of the City”, with a track, “Ain’t no love in the heart of the city,’’ before they were murdered.

One year after their murder, their parents, indeed, the whole word is still waiting for justice to be done. UNIPORT and Aluu community, too, are asking for justice. This is because of the bad image their murder created for the institution and Aluu community. The damage is unimaginable, according to both communities. For instance, after the incident, the impression created was that Aluu people are mindless murderers or that all Aluu citizens participated in the murderous act. And in an interview he once granted to Saturday Sun, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Joseph A. Ajienka, talked about how embarrassing it had been for the academic community.

Trial of accused persons

After the murder of the four students, some persons were arrested and arraigned in a court of law, while the case has been heard eight times – that is, between October 2012 and August 2013. It started in Port Harcourt Magistrate Court and is now at the High Court.

Eighteen persons have so far been arraigned in connection with the killing. October 17, 2012, 13 persons, including a 59-year-old traditional ruler, Alhaji Hassan Welema and a 24-year-old lady, Cynthia Chinwo, were arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court. Others were ex-sergeant Lucky Orji, 43; Lawal Segun, 28; George Nwadei, 20; Ekpe Daniel, 30; Okoghiroh Endurance, 24; Gabriel Oche, 33; Ozioma Abajuo, 23; Endurance Edet, 27 and Ikechukwu Louis Amadi (aka Kapoon), 32. Also in the list were David Chinasa Ogboda, 30; Chigozie Evans Samuel, 22; T. Lucky Agburum and Abiodun Yusuf.

The charge

The accused persons faced a five-count charge, which included conspiracy and murder of the four victims. The offence is punishable under Sections 324 and 319 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Volume III laws of Rivers State, 1999.
